Within the deepest halls of the Anatomists, progress is recorded in scar tissue, broken bone and surviving nerves. Here, living subjects are repeatedly dismantled and reconstructed to test the limits of endurance. Some are reduced to blind violence, their thoughts crushed beneath layers of grafted muscle and constant pain. Others are fused together, their conflicting impulses transformed into crude locomotion and overwhelming force.

These works are neither accidents nor simple weapons. Each is a question made flesh: how much trauma can a body withstand, how many minds can inhabit one form and whether suffering itself can become a source of strength. Overseeing the most extreme of such studies are ancient practitioners who regard wounds as a tool and survival as proof of success.

Nothing is discarded merely because it is ruined. Despair, failure, and previous torment are all considered valuable materials. To the Anatomists, a broken body is nothing more than an unfinished text awaiting further revision.
