BACKGROUND

Few figures loom larger in the mythology of the Tormentor Cults than the entity known as the Snatcherlord.

Its origins have long been lost to history. Some claim it was once a powerful noble from the time of the old order. Others insist it was amongst the first mortals to embrace the revelations that would one day become the Tormentor Creed. Whatever the truth, the Snatcherlord has haunted the history of Doaden for far longer than any mortal should.

Unlike many Ascendants, whose transformations leave only fragments of their former selves behind, the Snatcherlord retains a terrifying degree of intelligence and purpose. Towering over mortal men, its immense frame combines regal authority with monstrous power. Wherever it appears, cultists instinctively submit to its command, recognising in the creature a living embodiment of the ideals they worship.

The Snatcherlord seeks dominion through suffering. Every act of cruelty, sacrifice and terror serves the creation of a world ordered according to its will. Across the centuries, entire cults have risen and fallen beneath its gaze, yet somehow the Snatcherlord always endures.
