The Lore

The Sekhaton are a diverse race of reptilian humanoids clinging to survival in Doaden’s wild margins, where they endure in isolation and emerge mainly to hunt or raid. Their ancestral heartland lies in the hot savannahs south of Akhaemia, a land of golden grass, brutal heat, and scarce water, scattered with overgrown ruins and the fossilized bones of giant ancestors. They live as nomads, guided by shamans who read strange portents and guard the memory of ancient grave-sites, but their worsening plight has pushed traditions into harsher shapes. Now, darker priesthoods and necromantic rites take hold in some enclaves, all in pursuit of one obsession: resurrecting their long-lost kin and restoring a vanished dominion over the younger races.
