BACKGROUND

Progenitor civilisation shaped bloodlines for purpose, concentrating useful qualities over generations until each lineage became more closely fitted to its intended role. The awakened Progenitors have resumed studying inheritance among the Sekhaton, comparing traits, tracing family histories and attempting to draw scattered features back together into restored bloodlines. To them, ancestry is not sentiment but structure, recurrence and material to be recovered.

Fossilized Eggs are physical remnants of that vanished world. Preserved long after the bloodlines that produced them disappeared, they offer traces of forms that can no longer be observed among the living. Their significance lies not simply in their age, but in what they represent to beings obsessed with inherited form and the recovery of what has been lost.

For the Progenitors, such remains belong to the same unfinished history as buried roads, ruined structures and fragmented bloodlines: evidence of an old order whose surviving pieces may still have something to reveal.
