LORE & BACKGROUND

Once in a generation, a blessed hatchling is born. Bursting from its egg, feasting upon both its born and unborn brood mates alike, the Primeval is more akin to a beast than its Sekhaton parents, growing to many times the common size, hunched and hulking.

In spite of this apparent regression, the birth of a Primeval is considered a great blessing amongst the Tribes, a sign of the species' lost glory and past ascendancy, lying in wait within their bloodlines, like the patient hunter, expending precious little energy until the perfect moment to strike presents itself.

In battle, the Primeval is a force of nature, frenzied and terrible, they are a whirling dervish of violence and gore, their razor sharp teeth and claws ripping through flesh and armour alike. Outside of battle though, they are possessed of an intellect not dissimilar to their smaller kindred, serving as valued members of their tribe and often holding positions of power, or at least veneration.
