Sovereigns occupied the highest stratum of Progenitor society. Their elongated skulls preserve generations of political judgement, warfare, and administration, leaving them with an instinct for command older than the kingdoms now standing over their ruins. Proud and unyielding, they carry themselves with an assumption of authority that does not require recognition. Other beings are treated as components within a system that already has its correct order.

This detachment is not always simple cruelty. Sovereigns may show little interest in the living unless their actions interfere with larger designs or something considered structurally important. Their reasoning is intricate, cold, and shaped by inherited chains of strategy and governance that no longer align with mortal intuition.

In close combat they fight with the experience of countless earlier lives, while invisible force answers their gestures. Opponents can be stopped, arrows cast aside, weapons torn from hands, and stances broken. Their certainty extends to the world around them: buried roads remain roads, ruined canals are unfinished work, and settlements raised among Progenitor remains are interruptions to an order they still consider valid.
