Background

Cerebrants possess the most extreme mnemonic anatomy yet found among the Progenitors. Their swollen skulls preserve generations of calculation, lineage records, and inherited patterns of thought, sustained by a dense reserve of power held within the same cranial structures. This supports a mind capable of carrying centuries of memory, comparison, and learned judgement at once, allowing patterns across lives and bloodlines to be recognised beyond the reach of an ordinary intellect.

In battle, that reserve can be expelled against body and mind. Pressure gathers behind the eyes, thoughts lose their order, and even small movements begin to meet invisible resistance. Limbs can be held motionless, breath squeezed from the chest, and bodies wrenched aside, while harsher surges break across the senses as pain, confusion, and fractured thought. Cerebrants use these assaults with disturbing precision, disrupting movement and concentration while studying every response they provoke.
