LORE & BACKGROUND

Among the many esoteric war engines commissioned by the Azerai Church, few rival the Ballista Wagon in sheer precision. Mounted atop a heavy, iron-shod carriage drawn by four massive shire horses, this mobile siege weapon circles the battlefield in sweeping arcs, its drivers lashing the team into frenzied motion while its gunners line up the fatal shot.

The machine was conceived by Xephan Durand, the infamous Allsteiner Exile, during his brief tenure in the Holy Smithy. Though denied the arcane reagents of his homeland, Durand’s mastery of cogwork and pressure systems birthed a weapon of startling reliability and power, a marvel of faith-driven engineering, and a testament to what can be wrought when genius is bound to purpose.
