The Lore

What remains of the congregation does not rest, flee, or mourn. It continues. Pilgrims kneel before broken shrines, monks tend chambers that no longer belong to any saint, and priests carry on with gestures whose meaning has long since rotted away. The Church has not simply been overrun. It has been repurposed. Worship still fills its halls, but it is hollow now, bent toward the needs of the brood beneath the floorstones.
