Painting Competition | Winner Announcement | Church of the Acarid | January 2026

The Monthly Painting Competition is back on our community Discord server and this month, we're running it back once again with the Church of the Acarid. It seems everyone's New Year resolution was to up their painting game as we saw lots of beautiful entries appear on the scene!
As always, once submissions close, the Discord community votes for their top three favourites and from those finalists the Bestiarum Team selects the official winner.

These entries were voted as this month's top 3 by the members of our community Discord server - congratulations!
Entry #1 - "Baby's 1st OSL Attempt" by Sir_Brude
Returning to the competition with yet more outstanding work, "Sir_Brude" has painted one of our Infested Questors. Featured on a custom-built scenic base which seemlessly blends in elements of the Acarid infestation, this piece does a stellar job at blending OSL into the exquisitely painted model - that's one hell of an impressive baby.
Entry #2 - Infested Templar by WurstVader
After just barely missing out on participating in last month's competition, "WurstVader" makes an impressive entrance with his rendition of the Infested Templar. Featuring some beautiful painting work and some disgustingly buggy textures, this model certainly stands out immediately!
Entry #3 - "Bug Priest" by Rudelol
For our third community winner, we have our returning champion from last month's competition "Rudelol" with his rendition of the Acaridian Prophet. Stood on a custom base before his buggy altar and featuring an even more psychedelic colour scheme than last time, this once again beautifully painted and blended model grabs the attention from afar. Great work!
Bestiarum Vote - January 2026 Winner
This month has had some amazing entries across the line and the team loved each of the winners chosen by our community. However, there was one entry in particular that stood out to us most - our winner for this month's competition, the Infested Questor painted by Sir_Brude!
Beyond the outstanding painting work, we also appreciated the creativity in terms of basing and blending all of these elements together into a coherent model that tells a story. Outstanding work!
From the very start, it was clear that this entry would be a unique one as we got a glimpse of the early basing phase. It's also interesting to see some of the painting process along the way.
Another big congratulations from us to all top 3 participants! All of these pieces were executed in unique ways and brought something special to the table.
Our competition winner will receive a digital miniature release of choice and an honorary title on the server with the runners-up receiving a digital product of choice as well.
A big thanks to all of our participants in this month's competition - it was a joy to see everyone come together, share their progress and paint these models according to their personal vision. We hope to see you all compete again next month!
