The Flayed General | The Anatomists

LORE & BACKGROUND

The Flayed General was once a hero of Balazar, a commander whose name rang across the eastern sands. He led countless victories against the Penitent Crusade, unmatched in strength and fury. His legend ended at the Fortress of Ecstasy, where Commander-Primus Azriel shattered his army and broke his name. Defeated but unbowed, he returned to Balazar in chains.

His master offered no comfort, only punishment. Delivered into the hands of the Anatomists, he was not slain, but remade. His skin was peeled away, his nerves exposed, his ribs threaded with iron. Yet his strength was preserved, his body too perfect to waste. What rose from the pit was no longer a man of glory, but a weapon of shame.

He speaks no words. He wears no armor but pain. Twin cleavers hang in his fists, swung with exacting force. His movements carry the poise of a general, but every strike is penance. To Balazar, he is a lesson in failure. To the Anatomists, a triumph of remaking. To his enemies, he is war given flesh, carved in silence and crowned in suffering.
