BACKGROUND

Long before they became one of the Tormentor Cults' most feared Harbingers, the Three Sisters were renowned oracles who dwelt within a small and isolated Templum. Gifted with genuine prophetic insight, they interpreted visions, dreams and omens for those who sought their counsel. Their wisdom earned them respect throughout the surrounding region, but also drew unwanted attention.

When a congregation of the Tormentor Cults descended upon their sanctuary, the sisters were taken captive alongside the rest of the priesthood. Believing their prophetic talents to be a sign of divine favour, the cult marked them for a foul ritual.

What transpired remains uncertain. Witnesses spoke of impossible visions, voices from nowhere and revelations so profound that many present were driven mad. By the time the ritual ended, the sisters had become a single being.

Taking the name The Court of Three, they passed judgement upon the cultists responsible for their suffering, condemning some, recruiting others and gathering followers around their own interpretations of the revelations they had received. To their followers, they represent perfect understanding: three minds united by revelation and purpose.
