Among the Man Eaters, some warriors rise above the frenzied rabble, not through hunger alone, but through sheer prowess in combat. Whether guided by raw instinct or echoes of a past life, these chosen few are elevated to the ranks of the Butcherguard. They do not partake in the hunt but instead serve as the personal protectors of the tribe’s Haruspex and War Leaders. Clad in the gleaming bones of their fallen prey and wielding weapons carved from the remains of their enemies, they stand as brutal enforcers of the Carrion King’s will. For their service, they are granted choice cuts of the Fleshspoil.
Unlike most of their kin, the Butcherguard possess the clarity to master the art of riding the Manswine. These broad, lurching beasts are barely tamed, their bloated flesh seething with corruption. Straddling their monstrous mounts, the Butcherguard form a grotesque cavalry, an avalanche of gnashing tusks and cleaving blades that smashes through enemy lines, leaving only ruin in its wake.
