Underking Auberon | The Remade

LORE & BACKGROUND

Auberon, last Underking of the elves, was born in an age when his people thrived. The Cataclysm robbed them of children, and silence filled their halls. To preserve ancient law, Auberon commanded the Fleshsmith to bind his dwindling council into his own chest, their whispers now an eternal chorus within him. He rules from a bonemould throne, his body both king and court entwined. His presence is grim but unyielding, the last defiance of a race fading into ruin. In battle he recalls his days as a duelist, whirling with deadly precision, his twin axes carving arcs of destruction.

To his followers he is dignity preserved; to the Fleshsmith’s cult he is a relic clinging to a doomed past. Auberon’s reign is defined not by hope but by refusal, a king who will not let his people’s memory collapse into brood and ichor.
