LORE & BACKGROUND

Among the younger adepts of the Alchemic Order, Aedrana Vell has earned quiet notoriety. Known as the Reactionary, her title is not born of rhetoric, but of fixation. Where others flinch at blast diagrams and pressure-failure tables, she finds beauty. Destructive transmutation is not her burden, it is her fascination.

Unlike the Grenadiers she serves, Aedrana remains unmodified. Her flesh is untouched, her limbs her own. Yet she walks slightly askew, offset by the compact bombard-cauldron she carries: a self-designed mortar-engine that hisses with volatile pressure. She calibrates it constantly, treating each moment as both battle and experiment.

In name, she is a technician, seconded to mercenary artillery groups to support field operations. In truth, she is a student of devastation, chronicling blast yields, reagent volatility, and alchemical stress patterns with methodical care. After combat, she can be found in craters, collecting residue and debating combustion theory with her seniors.

She is bright. Eager. Unscarred. But there is something behind her laughter, a hunger not yet dulled by consequence. Her tutors speak quietly of an impending shift. She may become one of Aurum Absolutum’s great innovators, or just another cautionary tale.
