LORE & BACKGROUND

Not all souls are left to drift. Some are caught, snared by ritual and forced screaming into flesh never meant to hold them. Soul Vessels are shambolic husks crafted from battlefield carrion and grave-rot, lashed with bandage, wire, or rusted plate. Within, balefire burns: the fitful animus of a once-untethered spirit, now yoked to dead meat.

Constructed in desperation or cruel ingenuity, these vessels are tools of necromantic warfare. Patchwork bodies with limbs from mass graves, ribs laced with mixed sinew, and shattered skulls in broken helms, each vessel is unique. Some stalk, some crawl, some mutter with fractured voices, others remain eerily silent. Their behavior reflects the necromancer's will, the strength of the soul tether, and the quality of the corpsecraft.

They are not alive, nor undead in the old sense. They are constructs, haunted by what they contain and driven by the will that forged them.
