Cabal Assassin | Balazar's Dominion

LORE & BACKGROUND

Cabal Assassins are those whose minds endured the Rite of Binding, though their souls did not ascend. Denied exaltation, they are reshaped into silent extensions of the Cabal’s will, figures of subtle distortion, wrong in ways that elude notice until the blade finds its mark.

Their veiled anonymity is more than stealth; it is creed. They wear cloaks, veils, and masks not to hide, but to embody the truth that selfhood is mutable: flesh, identity, even memory, are tools to be reworked. Some wear fragments of their victims, not as trophies but as signs of absorption. For them, nothing is sacred, and everything is malleable.

Trained in illusion, poison, and blood-rite, they move through sanctums and courts alike as whispers on the edge of awareness. Their killings are not borne of cruelty, but of design, surgical expressions of the Cabal’s will. In the Dominion of Balazar, even failure may be reborn as something far more efficient. And far more terrifying.
