Among the most daunting and expansive phenomena rediscovered since the Cataclysm is the nature of the void—the vast expanse that envelops Doaden. It is a realm of emptiness punctuated by unquantifiable points of light and strange bodies adrift in distant darkness. Despite numerous hypotheses, religious doctrines, and folklore attempting to explain this outer emptiness, scholars and empiricists remain unsatisfied with any definitive explanation.

In their quest for comprehension, scholars have made several chilling discoveries about the void. The Traveller is no mere folktale though. Far from it, he is a being of immense power and unfathomable intent, drawn to Doaden from the same terrible void from which has come the Visitor, Starborne, and other, more abyssal horrors...
