Background

The Tormentor Cults reshape the places where they worship. Stone, bone and rusted iron are arranged into sites of sacrifice where every channel, restraint and display serves a ritual purpose. Blood gathers in carved basins, the ground wears smooth beneath kneeling followers and the air thickens with whispered revelation.

As cruelty accumulates, these places begin to change. Shadows deepen, unseen chains rattle beneath the earth and voices rise from pools that stir without wind. Suffering settles into the landscape until thought and matter begin to bend beneath its weight.

The greatest ritual grounds become vast reservoirs of blood, memory and devotion. They sustain manifestations, empower ceremonies and draw the Jailer's presence closer to the mortal world. To stand within them is to enter a wound shaped by countless acts of pain, where every offering has made reality weaker and every rite has brought something imprisoned nearer.
