BACKGROUND

There is none more zealous than the convert, and few amongst the Tormentor Cults embody that truth more completely than the Harbinger known as the Sentence.

Once a respected religious leader of the common faith, the Sentence spent years ministering to the poor, the downtrodden and the forgotten. Yet the more he witnessed suffering, corruption and hypocrisy, the more dissatisfied he became with the answers offered by the institution he served. Eventually he found himself drawn towards darker revelations.

What was born from doubt soon grew to dread certainty.

The Sentence came to believe that suffering was not a flaw within society but its fundamental truth. Where others saw a broken system in need of reform, the Sentence saw a lie that deserved to be torn down.

Today, he travels the world as a preacher of revelation and ruin. Possessed of immense charisma and unwavering conviction, he gathers followers wherever suffering festers most readily. His followers love him as much as they fear him, marching willingly towards death, convinced that through sacrifice they are participating in a greater truth.
