Stories of the Snatchers can be found across much of the Empire. Travellers speak of tall figures watching lonely roads from beneath ragged hoods. Children are warned not to wander after dark lest a Snatcher carry them away. Entire communities whisper of disappearances without signs of struggle, witnesses or explanation.

Whether all such stories describe the same creatures is impossible to know.

What is certain is that Snatchers are amongst the most unsettling servants associated with the Tormentor Cults. Lanky and unnaturally agile, they move with a predatory grace that belies their height. Their faces are hidden beneath heavy hoods and layers of cloth, whilst their cruel mancatchers, designed to capture rather than kill, speak clearly of their intentions.

Many were once ordinary mortals. Through prolonged exposure to the cult's rites and revelations, they have become something else.

A Snatcher rarely seeks a fair fight. They emerge unexpectedly, seize a victim and vanish before a proper response can be mounted. Few things inspire more dread than seeing a companion disappear into the darkness, never to be seen again.
