Amongst the females of the species, a unique fighting style has formed, lithesome and quick, they strike with absolute precision and deadly effect, eschewing those brutal and protracted bouts fought by the males, which can last hours or even days. Instead, these Gladiators often resolve their hierarchical disputes with a subtle change in colouration or tightening of the iris, knowing that to come to blows would spell sudden death for the loser.
