The Keeper of Secrets is an Eidolon of piercing insight, its sightless eyes reading beyond all illusions and deceptions. It perceives the hidden truths of soul and mind, immune to trickery or falsehood.

Ever near its counterpart, the Keeper of Keys, it serves as Balazar’s ultimate judge of worthiness. All who enter Balazar’s service, mortal, demon, or something in between, must stand before the Keeper and submit to soul-scrying. Promises made in its presence are bound not by law but by metaphysical chains. Betrayal becomes impossible. Those who attempt it suffer consequences before the act can even take form.

When a mortal seeker proves ready to transcend their mortal limitations, the Keeper of Secrets selects a single key from the Keeper of Keys’ collection, fitting it into a mysterious golden orb inscribed with alien languages that hovers in Balazar’s court. This key unlocks a passage to a unique plane of enlightened suffering and pleasure, an existential realm tailored to the seeker’s soul and final path to transcendence. Those who pass through the gateway invariably return forever transformed: changed, yet diminished, having shed a piece of their former self in pursuit of higher understanding.

It does not speak, but its presence silences court intrigues and buries ambition. Nobles lower their eyes beneath its gaze. Even demons tread carefully, wary of what truths may be unearthed by its perception.
