The Lore

Balazar’s seat of power is the ancient city of Ashurr, a rare oasis of opulence and vitality nestled in the harsh, arid heart of Akhaemia. Despite the unforgiving desert surrounding it, Ashurr thrives on the Tiridus Oasis, a vital font that breathes life into the land and sustains the city. The city itself is a sprawling testament to centuries of culture, decadence, and ritual, where golden spires and lush gardens rise from sands that swallow all else.

From his pillowed throne within the palace of velvet and gilt, Balazar rules over a court of unmatched decadence. Here, pleasure is not vice, it is virtue. Feasts are unending, flesh is freely offered and adorned, and art, dance, and suffering are all woven into sacred ritual. Desire is the law, and to deny it is to invite oblivion. Pain is theatre, pleasure a rite. Few who enter Ashurr seeking trade or glory leave unchanged, if indeed they leave at all.
