Infested Giant | Church of the Acarid

LORE & BACKGROUND

The Infested Giant was once a wanderer from the highlands, a figure whose armor hinted at battles fought long ago. He crossed the mire seeking purpose or passage, but his story ended in silence. Parasites burrowed beneath his steel and skin, seizing his immense frame and turning it into a vessel of dreadful strength. His resistance was titanic, his cries shaking the swamp, but at last he fell. What rose again was no man, but a hollow husk.

Now he lumbers through the mist, his every step guided by alien command. His armor hangs bent and broken, plates rattling against parasite-grown bone. Faint echoes of his old life linger: a turn of the head as if listening for comrades, a stumbling path that seems to follow forgotten roads. But these are only fragments, drowned beneath the hive’s will.

In battle, his strength is unmatched, his sheer size breaking walls and crushing intruders. To see him in the fog is to face a relic of humanity bound into alien servitude. The brood has claimed him utterly, a towering puppet whose only purpose is destruction in the hive’s name.
