New Terrain & Remastered Classics for the Halls of Suffering

As part of building the Halls of Suffering, we've been revisiting all our dungeon themed miniatures with fresh eyes. Along the way we've filled a few obvious gaps, refreshed some long-standing favourites, and generally given this corner of the catalogue a well-deserved spring clean.
This post is here to shine a light on what's new, what's been updated, and what's been dredged up from the catacombs.
A quick note on remastered models: As always, any updated miniatures are delivered free of charge to previous owners. The updated ZIP files are already live and labelled v2.
Let's dive in.
Filling the Gaps
One of the biggest additions to the range is a collection of terrain pieces that we felt were essential for building a proper grimdark dungeon. These kits are available now on both the Bestiarum webstore and MyMiniFactory, and subscribers can, of course, grab them with their 50% discount.
Corpse Piles
We couldn't quite believe we'd never made this grimdark staple: a big wet pile of freshly butchered corpses.
Available in multiple sizes, these grisly heaps fit naturally alongside the Anatomists, Tormentor Cults, Remade, and just about any suitably unpleasant scenario you can imagine. Whether you're building encounters, skirmish boards, dioramas or full battlefields, there's always room for a corpse pile.
Alongside resin-supported files, these pieces have also been designed for support-free FDM printing.
Iron Maidens
We've got the Weeping Maiden. We've got the Torment Collective. We've got the Meat's scavenged shields. But somehow, we'd never created a proper set of Iron Maidens.
Available with two mask styles and both open and closed variants, they're ideal as dungeon scatter terrain, objective markers or simply a particularly unpleasant feature of the room. We found they pair especially well with the Anatomists, but they'd sit just as comfortably alongside the Witch Hunters, Covenant of Grief, or any other miserable catacomb-dweller.
Alongside this new set, the Weeping Maiden has also received a refresh. The original sculpt had a few fragile areas, so we've reinforced the design and recut the model for a smoother printing experience.
Impaled Corpses
We've got impaled cultists, impaled Kikimorae, impaled Knights of the Beast... hell, we've even got an impaled Baphomet.
But what about some good, honest, salt-of-the-earth impaled corpses?
We got you.
Hanging Cages
We've released an array of different cages over the years, each had it's strengths, but we felt we could do better. While designing a kit that was easier to paint, we stumbled across a feature we liked so much it became part of the final design: an interactive & removable cage.
The cage fits over almost any 25mm-based miniature, letting you cage up whichever unfortunate soul your encounter demands, without the need for glue. They're perfect as rescue objectives, sacrificial victims or narrative markers for your next adventure.
We're particularly chuffed with this one, it's a nifty gameplay gadget.
Like the rest of the range, the kit includes both resin-supported and support-free FDM files.
Decorative Elements
Finally, we've rounded out the range with a handful of useful dungeon details. These are a mix of new sculpts, and repackaging of previous sets that we weren’t happy with.
All these sets are designed to serve as handy details and embellishments for terrain, bases or dioramas - we’re sure you’ll find plenty of uses for them besides.
Honouring the Classics
Alongside the new terrain, we've also revisited a pair of classic Anatomist miniatures, bringing them up to the standard of the faction's more recent releases.
Torment Collective
Originally released back in April 2022 as part of the Calden Keep collection, the Torment Collective has always been one of our favourite concepts, but the original sculpt had a few issues we'd wanted to address for some time.
The remastered version is sturdier, better proportioned, and now visually matches the new Iron Maidens, helping the whole range feel much more cohesive as a dungeon encounter or warband centrepiece.
Patriarch of Wounds
To close out the refreshes, we've got the man himself.
Formerly known simply as The Torturer, this grim fellow has since found a new home amongst the Anatomists after years languishing beneath Calden Keep. He brings a slightly different flavour to the faction, leaning more into cruel ironwork and torture devices than stitched flesh and hides - a perfect leader for the Harrowborn.
Like the Torment Collective, we loved the original sculpt, but it suffered from fragile parts and fairly shallow detailing. This remaster addresses those issues while also pushing the design further. New additions such as the bone cane and flesh cloak trimmed with still-animate limbs bring him much more in line with his flesh-mad compatriots.
Anatomists 5.5E Faction Book
To complement the Anatomist Refreshes, we’ve also updated their Faction Book to 5.5E, and overhauled the design to match the new style we’ve laid out with the Militia.
Rediscovering the Dungeon Range
That covers the major additions, though you'll also notice we've reorganised and renamed a number of older pieces, giving them room to shine where they once languished at the back of more specific collections.
We've had an absolute blast rediscovering these miniatures ourselves, and we hope the Halls of Suffering inspires the same for you.
This writer's personal favourite has been the Bloodsoaked Sewer Grates (formerly found under Vampire Lairs). They're fantastically versatile pieces, equally useful for dressing ruined buildings or serving as objective markers and spawn points in skirmish scenarios.
As mentioned at the start, all remastered models are available free of charge to existing owners. If you missed any of these pieces the first time around, or want to grab the new bitz, now's a great opportunity to dive in.
We hope these updates come as a pleasant surprise. It's been enormously satisfying breathing new life into some old favourites, and we can't wait to see the horrible things you all build with them.
