LORE & BACKGROUND

Long ago, Exuvia ruled a realm of glass and silk beyond the mortal veil, a Demon Duquessa adored by countless infernal souls. She was beautiful, immortal, and utterly empty. No adoration could fill the hollow within her until one day a foreign light pierced her sky, a flame so pure it shattered her world.

She followed that light across the boundaries between realms, tearing through the fabric of creation until she fell into Doaden’s endless swamp. There she found the Waybeacon burning in perfect stillness. Its glow reflected upon her countless eyes, and she knew at once that her search had ended.

Now she circles the flame endlessly, vast wings stirring the mist into golden clouds. Her voice is a whisper carried on the hum of the light itself, calling the broken and the lost to kneel before her. To them she is salvation, the promise that through devotion they may become radiant as she is. Yet her worship is not command but contagion.

Those who look too closely see the truth, that she too is dependant on the light she claims to master. The Idolator’s love is an orbit, unending and inescapable, and in her brilliance lies only hunger.
