LORE & BACKGROUND

Scattered across Doaden are graveyards raised not from peace, but from necessity, crumbling remnants of a broken Empire’s failure to mourn its dead. Some were buried with reverence, others with fear. Mass graves, sunken barrow-fields, and forgotten tomb-cities now litter the land, shaped more by the chaos of war than any sanctified order. These grave-sites churn with memory and latent power.

Here, necromancers thrive, drawing up the unquiet dead in service of cruel ends. Tombstones stand weathered and twisted, effigies of sorrow more than remembrance.

It is said the dead do not rest here, they wait. Bound by memory, rage, or the tether of dark hands. And where the veil runs thin, the grave does not forget.
