The Harbingers are amongst the most influential figures within the Tormentor Cults. Once ordinary cultists, prophets, priests, scholars, prisoners or zealots, each has travelled further down the path of revelation than most mortals can survive. Through years of obsession, suffering, devotion and interpretation, they have transformed themselves into living embodiments of their own beliefs.

No two Harbingers are alike. Though all claim to seek truth through suffering, each has arrived at a different conclusion regarding the nature of that truth. Entire congregations gather around these interpretations, adopting the Harbinger's teachings, rituals and methods as doctrine. Over time, these teachings evolve into distinct cults with their own identities, practices and goals.
More than mere leaders, Harbingers are symbols. Their followers view them as living proof that revelation can elevate a mortal beyond ordinary limitations. Whether inspiring devotion through charisma, fear, wisdom or violence, a Harbinger's influence often extends far beyond the congregation they directly command.
