The Lore

Balazar's exalted hosts are led by two near-legendary figures: General Atraxes, the Golden Edge, and handsome Bekhetur, Balazar’s bastard son. Each is a warlord of immense skill and ambition. And each, by Balazar’s design, holds equal rank. They are oil and water, irreconcilable in style and spirit. Yet through their rivalry, they are driven to ever-greater heights of mastery.

Though their duties overlap, their temperaments divide their focus. Atraxes holds the line, defending the Dominion’s borders against the relentless Crusade, ever eager to purge the demon-worshippers. Bekhetur, by contrast, is a raider without peer. With his so-called ‘Exaltators’, he strikes deep into enemy territory, along the coasts of the Empire, even as far as frozen Thule, stealing riches, slaves, and secrets to feed the Dominion’s glory.
