Hello everyone, we're back with another overview of last month's Monthly Painting Competition on our Discord server

Every month, members of the server can submit their entry featuring at least one of that month's newly released models. After the deadline ends, the community gets to vote on their top 3 from which the Bestiarum Team then selects their official winner.

In this post, we'll showcase the winners of this month's community vote and announce the official winner of the competition according to the Bestiarum Team!

Competition Results

Community Vote Winners

These entries were voted as this month's top 3 by the members of our community Discord server - congratulations!

Entry #1 - "The Remaker" by Chris B

For our first winner, we have this grim rendition of the Remaker painted by one of our very own moderators, "Chris B"! He used a lot of muted tones to great effect to create this horrifying piece, ready to roam the underground caverns of Doaden in search of new victims for his brutal craft.

Entry #2 - Remade Nest Diorama by mcfranklin

Our second winner of the community vote is this awesome, dynamic diorama created by "mcfranklin"! This piece beautifully integrates both creatures including the Remaker, Remade Guardian and Remade Servitors and the Remade Nest terrain of the latest release to great effect, creating an image of what the caverns beneath the Mourning City may just look like.

Note that this was their first ever diorama and we agree with the community: It came out great!

Entry #3 - Remade Guardian by stephenas1

Our final winner of this month's community vote is the Remade Guardian painted by "stephenas1". They used a beautiful palette of colours, tone and effects to create this positively horrifying piece. Of particular note is the creative use of inks and superglue on the chitinous shield to create a truly realistic, organic effect.

Bestiarum Vote - October 2025 Winner

After much deliberation within the team and judging all pieces by creativity and execution, the Bestiarum Team has decided to choose stephenas1 as this month's competition winner!

We fell in love with the varied tones used with great effect for a grimdark creature. The chitinous carapace shield stood out especially as a highlight of this creation.

Our competition winner will receive a digital miniature release of choice and an honorary title on the server with the runners-up receiving a digital product of choice as well.

Monthly Highlights

We'd like to take the time to highlight some other projects this month which grabbed our attention!

Dark Elf Royal Guard with Dark Elves by Ecco

This trio of elves (a Dark Elf Royal Guard accompanied by some Dark Elves) was painted by "Ecco" and stood out to us because of its beautifully vibrant colour scheme, lovely contrast and excellent use of non-metallic metal. Great work!

Remaker by ArtemMortis

This rendition of our popular Remaker model was created using an eccentric colour scheme based on the real life golden silk spider (Trichonephila clavipes for my fellow biology nerds out there!).

Personal note: Basing colours of painting projects on existing animals is something I Iove to see and I'm secretly hoping to see more of it in next month's moth-infested release!
