New Miniatures | August 2026 | The Children of Baphomet

Dread bleating echoes through the trees and the thousandfold children of the Beast Mother scamper with the foulest of intent. This August, we're thrilled to finally share The Children of Baphomet with you all.
This release unleashes an array of twisted caprine horrors born of Baphomet herself. Goat-creatures of every shape and size, each driven only to spread terror and leave their foul spoor across the wild places of the Empire. Hot on the heels of last month's Militia release, we can't wait to see these ravenous horrors clash with the embittered citizens of the borderlands. Let’s dive in!
As you can see, we've really doubled down on the themes first introduced with Baphomet's debut a couple of years ago. She is an ancient force of rampant, unchecked creation and every creature in this release reflects that philosophy. No two are alike. Each is a malformed byblow, grotesquely unique and far removed from the perfect symmetries of nature.
Alongside the miniatures is a brand-new terrain set exploring Baphomet's influence over the rural reaches of the Empire. Gnarled, dead trees hang heavy with the remains of ritual sacrifices, grim offerings made by isolated communities seeking either to exalt the Beast Mother... or to appease her.
As always, the miniatures are accompanied by a Faction Guide packed with lore, 5E-compatible statblocks and campaign inspiration to help bring the Children of Baphomet to your table. This volume gathers Baphomet, the Goat Mother herself, alongside her monstrous offspring into a single compendium. Whether you're looking for memorable encounters, a terrifying campaign antagonist or simply want to explore one of Doaden's strangest factions, there's plenty to discover.
As part of our revamp of the Monthly Painting Competitions, we invited Veteran League winner Rudelol (@rickabyminiatures) to paint the Mamuna ahead of its official release and showcase the finished model in this post. The results are truly impressive—take a look!
You can discover more of their work on their Instagram page.
Additionally, we’ve got the primed & printed collection waiting on the studio painting bench for a lick of paint - check out the rest here:
Our Monthly Painting Competition returns this month, but we'll be spotlighting it in a dedicated post next week, alongside a showcase of last month's fantastic entries and winners.
We'd love to see even more of you join in by painting the Children of Baphomet with the community. If you haven't already, come and join us on Discord and maybe you could be our next featured painter!
We hope you're looking forward to this release. Goat horrors have always been one of our favourite corners of the Bestiarum oeuvre and we hope the enjoyment we found creating this collection shines through in every miniature.
As always, thank you for your continued support in helping us bring these nightmares to life.
Cheers,
The Bestiarum Crew
