Time for a peek at what next month has in store for you with Bestiarum - we’re stepping away from the brutality and body horror of the Anatomists into something altogether more pastoral. Nonetheless, we think this set is going to prove a super valuable addition to everyone’s miniatures collection.

July presents the warriors of a desperate defence, a village or township set upon by the myriad monstrosities you’ve gathered in your Bestiarum collection. The release will deliver an embittered Guard Company, alongside a hardscrabble peasant militia and set of improvised barricades - and something that’ll excite lots of you, modular weapon loadouts!

First up - we’ve got the core Guard unit itself - we’ve designed this set to build upon the original House Lionheart guards, while adding a tonne of versatility to the unit - if you’re looking to build a suitably heroic core of characterful goons, or amass a full garrison of varied poses for massed battle, this set is going to deliver.

To maintain a little of that weird we know you all love, the Guard Unit has a few freakishly large members to hold the line in the face of all the lumpier horrors Doaden has to offer. Big, gruff and bearing some lovingly improvised armour patterns to fit their bulky forms - the Brute Guards are an imposing addition to the garrison.

One aspect of this set we’re really excited to show off is the modular options - the Guards (and the unyet revealed Peasant Levy) feature modular weapon loadouts - meaning you can build an array of different poses and units from the same kit. And what’s more - these parts are interchangeable with the Penitent Crusade, Acarid Parasite, and Trench Invasion kits. We think that extra versatility adds a tonne of value to these kits, and we can’t wait to see what you do with them.

Here’s a look at some of the test prints -

Hope you’re excited for this upcoming set - we’re keen to see them face off against all the awful monstrosities Doaden has to offer. Especially the horned monstrosities of a certain Mother of Beasts that we’re cooking for August!

Cheers,

Bestiarum Crew
